Brothers and sisters, God the Word (Logos) has two births.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, God the Word (Logos) has two births.
If you reflect on the Nicene Creed of the Church, you will find the answer. And I will answer it now: We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, in all things visible and invisible, and in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, "begotten of the Father before all ages." Notice this first birth of God the Word (Logos): Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made, who for us men and for our salvation "came down from heaven and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man." Notice this second birth of the Word of God (Logos). He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, suffered, was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, whose kingdom has no end. And through the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father, who is with the Father and the Son. We worship and glorify Him who spoke through the prophets and apostles, and through one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins, and we await the resurrection in the age to come. Amen.
Therefore, brothers and sisters, God the Word (Logos) has two births:
The first: the day He was born of the Father before all ages.
The second: when the Logos, or Word of God, was incarnate in the womb of the Virgin Mary and was born.
Amen.
Glory to God forever.
