How did the incarnation of our Lord and God Jesus Christ come about
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen.
My beloved brothers and sisters, how did the incarnation of our Lord and God Jesus Christ come about? How did God descend in human form? And how did those who believed in Him as Savior receive salvation and forgiveness of sins? Before all ages, there was God Most High, and the Logos the Son also existed. The nature of the Son was of the nature of the Father, and the essence of the Son was of the essence of the Father. The Father was a Person, and the Son was a Person. Through the Father and the Son, all things were made, and without them, nothing that has been made was made. The Father and the Son were two Persons (of one essence), and with the Holy Spirit
they were three Persons. Their nature is the nature of the Holy God, and their essence is of the essence of the Holy God. When God the Father willed to save His people burdened with sin, He sent them His beloved Son, the Logos. Before the Incarnation, before the Logos united with a human person, the Logos and the human body were independent. But at the union, the divine nature united with the human nature, and the incarnate Son was two natures in one person: fully God and fully man. Thus, the Incarnation took place (in the womb of the Virgin Mary), fully God and fully man, united in one person. This is my faith, and glory be to God forever.
Notes: In Christian theology, the term "person" refers only to the divine essence because it is exclusively applied to a being with specific attributes: (holy, eternal, unlimited, uncreated). In Christian theology, this refers to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit only. In Greek philosophy, "Logos" means absolute mind, i.e., God. It also means God the Word because God created the universe through the Word. For Christians, God the Word is the Son of God because God the Father used His Son before the Incarnation to create the world. Therefore, we call Him the Lord Jesus. Christ (the Word of God)
